Curtis Peever obtained his Master's degree from the University of Saskatchewan in April of 1998. His area of specialization was econometric modeling with applications to monetary economics.
Mr. Peever’s background includes graduate level coursework in microeconomics, macroeconomics, labour economics, econometrics, economic research methodologies, and regional economic development (input-output analysis).
Between 1996 and 1999, Mr. Peever taught and conducted research at the University of Saskatchewan. He was also Treasurer and Associate Editor for the Saskatchewan Economic Journal.
As a research assistant for the Department of Finance at the University of Saskatchewan, Mr. Peever investigated the effect of risk on stock prices of small firms in the North America. With the Department of Economics at the University of Saskatchewan, he analyzed trends in Western-Canadian housing markets.
Since joining AEC in June of 1999, Mr. Peever has been applying his skills and training to the area of litigation support. He prepares expert opinion reports on losses of employment incomes and non-wage benefits (including pensions), losses of household services, and present values of costs of future care.
Mr. Peever has been qualified as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and the Supreme Court of Yukon.
